Locating your serial number

Club Car "Caroche" models from 1970 to 1980 have the number located under the driver's seat on a metal tag riveted to the the I-Beam located just inboard of the drivers side batteries. The "Caroche" model is distinctive. The nose of the cart is square and reminds you of a Mac truck. It also has three pedals, two of which are brake pedals. On 1981 and newer model carts the number is located just under the passenger side glove box.

Serial Number Guide for "Caroche" models made from 1970 to 1980

If your serial number begins with the letter K or L it is a "Caroche" model with Dico hydraulic brakes. If it begins with a letter M or N it is a "Caroche" model with Mercury hydraulic brakes.

Numbers after the letter denote the year on 1970 to 1980 "Caroche" models.

• 21277 to 29170 was manufactured from 1/4/78 to 12/30/78.
• 29171 and up was manufactured from 1/8/79 to 12/29/79.

Serial Number Guide for 1981 and newer Club Car models

On 1981 and newer model DS carts the number is located just under the passenger side glove box. The first letter or letters of the serial number designate the model and the first two numbers following these letters designates the year of manufacture. Letter A or AA is for electric carts, AQ is for electric carts with the IQ regen braking system, and letters AG stands for gasoline carts. For example serial number AG8637-63472 would be a 1986 gas model DS cart.

1981 to 2005-1/2 have a two piece seat back. 2005-1/2 and newer have a one piece seat back.

1981 to 2005-1/2 have silver aluminum top supports. 2005-1/2 and newer have black top supports.

1981 to 2005-1/2 have a thin top while the 2000.5-present models have a thicker top with handles on each side of the back third of the top.
